dB Control Welcomes Fred Ortiz as Business Development Manager
27-Year Industry Veteran to Focus on Next-Generation Microwave Products
Fremont, Calif. – dB Control has hired industry veteran Fred Ortiz as Business Development Manager. In his new position, Ortiz will focus on technological and business development for next-generation microwave products. He will use his technical capacity and business experience to strengthen ties with existing customers and cultivate new relationships in military and commercial markets.
“Over the past three decades, Fred has held a variety of positions and his expertise is well-rounded because of it,” said dB Control CEO Joe Hajduk. “He understands the challenges that defense contractors and military personnel currently face, and the need for ruggedized, reliable products. He’ll use this knowledge and his consummate professionalism to develop new business so we can hit the ground running in 2011 and beyond.”
Ortiz began his career with Varian (now Communications & Power Industries) in 1984. He has continuously been promoted to a variety of managerial positions ranging in scope from customer service to transmitter operations to sales/new product marketing. An active member of the Association of Old Crows (AOC), Ortiz is certified for Just in Time (JIT) manufacturing and as a Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award-trained auditor. He earned his B.S. in International Business and MBA in Business Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University.
