dBC Signs Two Defense Contracts

dB Control Lands $1.1 Million Contract to Supply Military Vendor with Microwave Power Modules for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Systems; Signs $500,000 Contract to supply U.S. Navy Vendor with TWT Amplifiers for Electronic Warfare (EW) Simulation Systems

Fremont, Calif. – dB Control, a designer and manufacturer of high-power microwave amplifiers, power supplies and radar transmitters, has signed contracts worth a combined total of $1.6 million to provide microwave power modules (MPMs) and traveling wave tube (TWT) amplifiers to two major U.S. manufacturers supplying the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force. Due to security regulations, dB Control cannot name the specific manufacturers or military installations.

“On-board jammers and electronic warfare (EW) systems require high continuous wave and pulsed power TWT amplifiers with wide bandwidth, and SAR systems require MPMs and TWT amplifiers with extremely good amplitude and phase stability,” said Meppalli Shandas, vice president of marketing for dB Control. “For both of these military applications, dB Control is fast becoming the vendor of choice.”
