Defense Manufacturer Protects Employees’ Job Security, Takes Health Precautions at Fremont Facility
Fremont, Calif. – April 8, 2020 – dB Control, an international defense electronics manufacturer, remains fully operational during the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers have experienced minimal delivery delays. Priority is placed on customers that need high-power amplifiers (HPAs) for national security programs.
To manufacture HPAs in a timely manner, dB Control continues to procure materials. This enables businesses in the supply chain to remain operational. dB Control may also extend its services to meet other critical needs. Engineers may work with a medical company on board encapsulation for mass spectrometer Coronavirus testing.
Employee Health, Livelihood Remain Top Priority
No dB Control employees have been laid off during this period of economic uncertainty. Additionally, all employees were paid through a brief company shutdown. The shutdown occurred after California’s initial “Shelter in Place” order (March 19). dB Control reopened on March 23. To protect employee health, a second shift was implemented for social distancing and schedule flexibility. Employees follow heightened protocols for cleaning/disinfecting, as directed by the CDC and local officials.
“We know how difficult this health crisis is on everyone. We want to help our community in practical ways. So at a time when other companies are laying people off, we’re hiring. And we’ll continue to look for ways to do our part for the community, the industry and our economy as a whole,” said dB Control President Mike England.
