Global Defense Contractor Places Largest TWTA Order in Recent

Fremont, Calif. – dB Control, an international defense electronics manufacturer, was awarded a multimillion dollar contract by a global aerospace and defense contractor based in the US. While exact details of the contract are classified, dB Control will provide high power, X-band, pulsed shipboard traveling wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) to the customer. This is the largest order dB Control has received in 2016.
“We know this customer is confident about the reliability of our TWTAs because they’ve placed nearly a dozen repeat orders with us to build this particular unit. Not only do these X-band TWTAs need to pass stringent reliability testing in the lab, they also need to work without fail out on the open sea. From the initial design to performance requirements in harsh environments, these TWTAs meet the customer’s SWaP requirements to a ‘T,’ said dB Control VP of Business Development Steve Walley.
