Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier Designed for Electronic Countermeasures, Warfare Simulation, Radar Measurement and Other Demanding Military Applications
Fremont, Calif. – August 30, 2018 – dB Control, an international defense electronics manufacturer, is introducing a high-power, wideband, rack-mount traveling wave tube amplifier (TWTA) with a 7.5 to 18 GHz frequency range. The dB-3911 TWTA provides high saturated output power by using two wideband, periodic permanent magnet (PPM)-focused TWTs to amplify CW, AM, FM or pulse-modulated signals. Any losses from power combining are minimized by phase matching the TWTs and other RF components over the entire frequency range. The dB-3911 was developed for demanding military applications such as test/measurement, antenna pattern and radar cross-section measurements, electronic countermeasures and electronic warfare simulation.
