dB Control to Host AOC Golden Gate Chapter January 2010 Meeting
Fremont, Calif. – dB Control, an established manufacturer of reliable, high-power microwave amplifiers, radar transmitters and power supplies, will host the January 12, 2010 meeting of the Golden Gate Chapter of the Association of Old Crows’ (AOC). The meeting will be held in dB Control’s secure 40,000-square-foot facility in Fremont, California.
After a short networking session, dB Control Vice President of Technology and Business Development Meppalli Shandas, a 2008 inductee into AOC’s Electronic Warfare (EW) Hall of Fame, will deliver a presentation on EW applications, military platforms and programs utilizing traveling wave tube (TWT) amplifiers, microwave power modules (MPMs) and power supplies. AOC attendees will also have the opportunity to meet and discuss the future of the military industry with dB Control CEO Joseph Hajduk. Hajduk’s opinions and industry viewpoint articles recently appeared in Military Embedded Systems, Microwaves & RF, Microwave Product Digest and US Tech and he was profiled in the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal earlier this year.
“When presented with the opportunity to host this AOC gathering, we couldn’t pass it up. dB Control has a long history with AOC and we’re looking forward to getting to know more members of the Golden Gate Chapter,” said Hajduk.
About the AOC
The Association of Old Crows (www.myaoc.org) is a highly regarded international professional association founded in 1964 to promote research and knowledge in the fields of EW, information operations and related disciplines. The Golden Gate Chapter (GGC) of the AOC was formed in 1966 and has consistently been one of the most active chapters in the organization.
About dB Control
Established in 1990, dB Control Inc. (www.dBControl.com) supplies mission-critical (often sole source) products worldwide to military organizations, as well as to major defense contractors and commercial manufacturers. These products are used in a wide variety of applications, including radar (multimode, pulse Doppler and SAR), ECM, EW threat simulation, airborne data links, high data-rate digital communications, test and measurement (RFI and EMC), commercial X-ray, antenna pattern and radar cross-section measurement.
Available in production quantities, dB Control’s modular products can be quickly and easily configured to meet custom specifications and platforms requirements for ground-based, shipboard and high-altitude military manned and unmanned aircraft. Many of the company’s products contain tightly packaged high-voltage circuitry. Critical to the success of these designs is the dB Control’s proprietary encapsulation process.
dB Control also offers specialized contract manufacturing services for high-voltage transformers, power supplies, and specialized high-voltage assemblies. Full-vacuum encapsulation, pressure cure and conformal coating laboratory services are available, as is transformer winding and testing. The company’s repair depot complements its contract manufacturing services with the ability to repair, refurbish, or replace microwave amplifier components. dB Control’s outstanding record of successfully repairing tightly packaged high-voltage power supplies, and expertise with high-voltage and high-power microwaves, enable it to offer specialized testing services as well.
